As of 1 October, the Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements (CenSAMM) and its Academic Director (Prof. James Crossley) have moved to the University of Cambridge. The Critical Dictionary of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements (CDAMM) will continue to grow as an academically rigorous and non-partisan open-access encyclopedia covering secular and religious expressions of apocalyptic and millenarian thinking throughout history and across cultures. Support for an annual conference will continue, building on the current collaboration with the British Association for the Study of Religions. CenSAMM will continue developing audio and video material and blog posts. CenSAMM will also continue its collaborations with MF Oslo and the Panacea Museum.
One of the new developments over the next five years will be a major research project dedicated to studying British apocalyptic movements in history and culture. New conferences will be on the theme, resulting in open-access publications. Additional seminars on apocalypticism and millenarian movements will be hosted at the University of Cambridge.
More details will be available shortly. Please check this website and our social media for updates.
